Música para los muertos: Brahms Requiem - Mvt. 2, part 1

Brahms escribió su requiem tras la muerte de su madre. Más que tratarse de un requiem de carácter divino, intentó hacer un requiem humano, para consolar a los vivos.

Texto:
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. 1 Peter 1:24
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:7
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. 1 Peter 1:25
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10
